Little Caleb John was the last of the “February Baby Bonanza”, and also my first newborn shoot with a baby boy, so I finally got to use my blue wraps. Yay!
I met Caleb when he was 12 days old, and he was still so tiny. Caleb was born two weeks past his due date, after a long and arduous induced labour. He was born on 11 February at 12:42am, weighing 7 pounds and 4 ounces, or 3.2kg, and 50cm long.
Caleb has been a pretty easy baby for his parents, Christine and Danny, so far, sleeping so well that they have to wake him overnight to feed him. He was such a peaceful baby during our photo session. I was also surprised at how strong he was – Danny’s nickname for Caleb is “little champ” and it’s quite appropriate. He has amazing neck strength for a two week old.
I had such a lovely time spending the morning with this brand new family, and Caleb was such a dream to photograph. And so completes my three newborns in a row. I am so addicted to photographing these little creatures now. I need more…
